Utilised heavily during World War II, the initial purpose of the Enigma Machine was for Nazi Germany to send secure, encrypted messages to their troupes.
To capture these messages and translate them, the team at Bletchley Park set out to work with their Allied Partners to break the code. This work required machines… and eventually these machines formed the basis for the first digital electronic computers.
We were delighted to have the team at Bletchley Park present a working demonstration of one of the Enigma Machines of the period as our event finale.
